Schoolboy Sixes is a football management game by McCloud Software and is a Licenceware title.
It's an interesting little management game with you becoming the manager of Brentwood Under 15's, the six-a-side team made up of teenagers from the Council estate with the objective of winning the League and various cups against other school teams.
You have to take control of the tactics, pick the players, and take on new players by using Trials that recommend the best prospects for the players. The tactics are pretty good as you control tackling (Controlled, Hard but Fair and Get Stuck in), passing (big boot, give and go), marking (keep them tight on'em, keep positions), and shooting (shoot on sight, aim for the corners and power play).
The demonstration demo which was sent by them was not what I expected for a Licenceware title, the graphics were not good but the music and sound effects during the commentary of a match were pretty good and it was so easy to get into that I was looking forward to seeing how far I could get in the League, but it was only a one match demo. It wasn't up to commercial standards but for a Licenseware game it wasn't bad and to get the full version only required you to pay 2.50 UK Pounds.
